So it's been way too long since I had a proper hop so here goes!

Every week Jennifer asks a question of the Hoppers - "If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series do you always start with the first title?

Yes, I can't stand not knowing if I've missed some important details that get referred to in later books, plus it just makes more sense to start with book 1. I've currently got on my TBR a LibraryThing early Reviewer book that is the third in a series so I kind of can't read it until I find copies of the first two books :S

So hello there my hopping friends! Come on in! I do apologise for the mess but it's Nanowrimo at the moment and I'm up to my eyeballs in words. I promise that normal service will resume in December but for now it's a little scatter-brained. I reckon I follow between 250 and 300 blogs although I'm not entirely sure about that number since it's impossible for me to read every post from every blog.

Well according to my trusty LibraryThing account I have 120+ books To Be Read out of the 600 or so that I own and although I did at one point have them all on one set of shelves, I re-arranged everything since and now they're just scattered around all of my shelves and there's a stack of classics at the foot of my bed. One of these days I really do plan on whittling that stack down, honest!

This Week's question for the Hop - "Do you listen to music when you read? If so what are your favourite reading tunes?"

Short answer, no. Unless the music I'm listening to has no words it's very likely to distract me while I'm reading because I'm one of those people who can't help but sing along to normal music. I usually just have silence when I'm reading cos it's peaceful and calming. If I was to have music playing it'd probably be a movie soundtrack cos I'm addicted to those and I have a few with no words.

Book Blogger Hop #5/Follow my book blog Friday #2

Well I wasn't gonna do the Hop today because I feel insanely tired and I really should do some chores round the house but what the heck, I'll go a-hopping through some blogs later tonight and over the weekend since it doesn't have to be right now.

But of course I shall, I'm about 50 pages into The Boys Next Door by Jennifer Echols. My sister having a moment of pure awesomeness ordered the Endless Summer bind-up off amazon and when it arrived proceeded to blackmail me into doing some washing-up before giving it to me. I've now realised that I will do pretty much anything if you say you'll give me a book afterwards :P.

Oh yea the Boys Next Door is very enjoyable so far, it's not as intense as Forget You but since it's supposed to be a cute summery novel that's fine. I'm already Team Adam :P
